For the best initiative in clinical safety in the SLA Market Unit went to the Hospital Universitario de Torrejón, for its work in Hospital Universitario de Torrejón for its work in «Implementing security rounds as a strategy to improve the safety of each patient».
Lead by the head of the Intensive Care Department, Dra. María Cruz Martín Delgado, and with the participation of the Patient Safety Committee, the professionals from the departments that completed the rounds (Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Block, A&E, Radiology, Hemodynamics, Paediatrics, Neonatal Care, Hospitalisation, Pharmacy, Anatomical Pathology, Out-Patient Consultations and Specialist Centre) and the management team.
For the best work based on action plans defined by the Sub-Committee of Clinical Safety in Clinical Governance & Quality:
Coordinated by Dr. José Feyjoo Casero, head of the Internal Medicine Department, and also included the participation of nursing departments pertaining to hospitalisation.
Led by Dr. Enrique Esteban Agustí, together with the General Surgery Department and Nieves García Durán, ex-supervisor of the surgical block. The entire Safety Committee participated as well as all professionals in the Anaesthesia, Surgery, and Nursing departments of the Surgical Block.
